Oil Rail - Ladder
FITS THE FOLLOWING MODELS:
The latest improved design Oil Rail / Bottom Ladder for the ‘K’ series engine.
Introduced to cope with a higher torque/clamping load on revised bolts and for extra stiffness preserves the head gasket in several ways including some improvement in torsional rigidity.
The new design uses a stiffer heat treated alloy and is said to reduce some of the harmonic resonances thought to cause Head gasket failure.
Land Rover and Rover advise the use of the latest cylinder head stretch bolts and the new multi layer head gasket in combination with this oil ladder.
