LHD Steering Rack

LHD Steering Rack required to convert the location of the steering mechanicals and steering column from the Right Hand side of the Elise to the Left Hand side.

This is an upgraded part made for us by the original suppliers to Lotus and also fits any Left Hand drive Mk 1 or Mk 2  'K' Series engine Elise.

In 2002 EliseParts ( EP Tuning) developed a completely new steering rack that is not only a higher quality more robust unit, it also has the "designed in" advantage of substantially reducing bump steer.

Many hours measuring and CAD development lead us to the ideal track control arm length and pivot point to match the Lotus wishbone pivot point (arc) thus reducing bump steer to the minimum practically possible.

This rack uses the standard 2.7 turns lock to lock ratio (same as OE ratio)
