Unfortunately the K Series engine is prone to head gasket failure due to various factors.
One troublesome area can be eradicated by using this adjustable radiator fan controller.
This Electronic Fan Controller allows you to set a desired temperature for the fan to kick in.
Normally, the fan is controlled by the ECU which is set to switch on at approximately 105° C. In our opinion, this temperature is too high.
The switch is installed into the coolant pipe work and allows you to set the temperature to a desired level.
After setting up, the fan controller will provide a safety barrier to prevent a potential head gasket failure and head "softening" caused by overheating the aluminium cylinder head.
REQUIRES INSTALLATION VIA THE COOLANT HOSE NOT SUPPLIED (SEE HOSE PICTURE)
