Billet Steel EN40B Nitrided Crankshaft

This Billet Steel crankshaft has been meticulously designed to be the best K Series Billet crankshaft currently available.

It incorporates design features of the more expensive crankshafts and has several innovative features, such as, the oil galleries being oblique to the bearing surface and unlike some other steel cranks the counterweight design is suitable for heavy metal insertion.

The cranks are NO-Sulphur EN40B Steel.

The original Corus material that most crankshafts were made from was low sulphur and considered the best, this is a step above that.

The core is hardened and tempered to V specification, and the journals are Gas nitrided 80 hrs to give about 0.3mm depth.

Finally, the journals are superfinished to give a perfect as possible surface finish

Almost 1 KG lighter than the OE crankshaft.

Installing a lightweight balanced crankshaft can enable not only higher RPM which in turn creates BHP, it also puts substantially less strain on the bearings thus prolonging the life of the engine, as most of the forces are created by out of balance heavy crankshafts.

The crankshaft has been balanced and comes with a Full CMM Report ( Co-Ordinate Measuring Machine)
